The liberal consumer economy has commodified human life, leading to the trade of babies and children through surrogacy. The international surrogacy market could exceed $130 billion by the 2030s, with Ukraine as a key hub.

Ukraine is a world leader in the sale of babies and represents over a quarter of the global market, writes Frank Wright, who abandoned an investigation into child trafficking out of Ukraine, “as no one wishes to be murdered for revealing it.”

The trafficking of children is one of the consequences of the war in Ukraine.  “The war in Ukraine is not an accident or a mistake. It is not the result of unprovoked Russian aggression,” he says. American foreign affairs specialists warned that NATO’s expansion would lead to war, and it is now clear that this was the intention.
