Radical Democrats in California have passed a disturbing new piece of legislation that will allow children to be removed from their families if the parents refuse to “affirm their gender identity.”

The California Assembly passed AB 957 on Friday.

The controversial bill will grant judges the authority to strip parents of their rights to custody of their own kids if they fail to support the child’s transgender transition.

The passing of the bill was first revealed by California Capitol Correspondent Ashley Zavala.

Zavala highlighted the rift between the Republicans and Democrats over the bill’s stipulations.

“California lawmakers send Gov. Gavin Newsom a proposed law that would require judges to consider a parent’s affirmation of their child’s identity in custody cases,” she wrote.

Republicans argue that, when ruling on custody cases, judges already possess the discretionary power to consider all aspects of a child’s well-being.
The considerations in such cases already include gender identity.

However, Democrats insist that a parent’s affirmation of a child’s gender identity is crucial for their mental and emotional health.

“Parents affirm their children,” said Democrat California State Rep. Lori Wilson.
