‘Extraterrestrial’ fragments recovered from the Pacific Ocean floor could have come from an alien planet outside our solar system, an astronomer has claimed.

Planetary scientist Humberto Campins said he agreed with the sensational claims by controversial Harvard physicist Professor Avi Loeb that ‘alien’ material from interstellar space has been found on Earth for the first time ever.

‘It’s enough to be excited about. My hat’s off to these people,’ the University of Central Florida astronomer told Cosmos

‘I think this was a meteorite that came from outside the solar system.’

A huge row has erupted among the scientific community over Professor Loeb’s discovery, with some experts lending support to the research and others disputing it.

The physicist claims that the tiny metallic spheres have a composition of ‘never seen before’ elements that do not match any natural or man-made alloys.

He even says the material could be proof that a meteorite which splashed down off the coast of Papua New Guinea in 2014 was actually an alien spacecraft.
