During the ongoing Texas-Mexico border crisis, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers located two young children abandoned in Eagle Pass.

DPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez said, “In the last 24 hrs, Troopers have recovered 4 unaccompanied children in Eagle Pass.”

The latest two children recovered were a pair of siblings—a four-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl—from Chiapas, Mexico.

The children were immediately turned over to U.S. Border Patrol since Texas cannot process illegal alien children.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has reportedly lost track of 85,000 illegal alien children inside the U.S. In fiscal year 2023 alone, there have been more than 1.9 million encounters at the border. Although the majority of encounters were with single adults, more than 100,000 were unaccompanied minors who were released into the U.S. to sponsors.

Reports from Axios and Reuters indicate that the Biden administration has lost track of nearly 40 percent of unaccompanied minors released to sponsors, including dozens in Houston.
