Pro-trans activists lashed out during a signing ceremony for legislation meant to protect women’s sports.
Following a years-long fight to protect fair play in women’s collegiate athletics by ensuring women only compete against biological women, attendees were faced with vitriol outside the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame in Denton by those who oppose the legislation.
A video from State Sen. Mayes Middleton (R–Galveston), who authored Senate Bill 15 banning Texas’ public universities and colleges from allowing biological men to compete against women, shows the protesting crowd screaming “trans rights matter” and making lewd gestures at attendees and lawmakers as they left the ceremony.
Michelle Evans with the Independent Women’s Network attended the event and videoed the protestors physically stopping her from leaving the event and spitting on those walking out.
