A celebration of our trampled constitutional right of free speech
Happy 4th of July! On this day let us celebrate the rights and freedoms that most of the society are either actively trying to give up, or take away from others, or helping the above 2 categories by saying nothing and looking the other way, and/or trading with various parties in this process for financial gain, status or privilege.
Several days ago I found myself on a government watchlist as a “misinformation spreader”. Lots of great people are on that report, and having a clear record to examine was enlightening. The watchlist is a set of reports collected by a private contractor Groupsense.io using Open-Source Intelligence Tools (so they claimed) for their client, NYC Health Department.
Here is the link to the pdf report compiled by Groupsense for NYC. It was repeatedly taken down from several pdf sharing sites I previously tried, and I hope this one will stay a bit more secure. Please download and share.
The FOIA of NYC Health Department online surveillance efforts was obtained and released by Dangerous Docs. An excellent article on this can be found here:
https://dangerousdocs.substack.com/p/tracking-and-shaming-the-unvaccinated
As reported by the Dangerous Docs:
Members from the New York City Health Department published a piece in the NEJM entitled “Combating Misinformation as a Core Function of Public Health.” One mustn’t look much further than the title of the article to realize that the NYC Health Department, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office, has run deeply afoul of the very first constitutional amendment. The authors of the article (all of whom were members of a “Misinformation Response Unit”) report how they culled from various reports to get the pulse on the narrative being spread by “vaccine deniers”. The intent of this analysis wasn’t to lend support or seek to better the product. The sole objective of this monitoring was to stifle resistance. The paper quoted reports of quasi-independent groups, such as The Virality Project (see weekly briefings and Rapid Response tabs), Project VCTR, The Kaiser Family Foundation Monthly Survey, and First Draft News
While I no longer work in the industry full time, I am still a board member of a medical device company based in NY state, and I am an investor in several others. Being labeled a “misinformation agent” and being followed and smeared by a “cybersecurity” firm hired by NYC health agency is damaging both to my reputation and to that of my companies. I am literally shaking (just kidding). The cyber goon squad, Groupsense.io has not a single person remotely experienced in pharmaceutical research, medicine, FDA regulations or any relevant subject matter. Yet, they were appointed the judge of what is and isn’t “misinformation” and were free to label any online content as such. They were free to smear any doctor, scientist or expert in the field on behalf of the government, based on the government-prescribed narrative.
The quote is from the Groupsense press release about signing of a contract with a major US city:
ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — GroupSense, a digital risk protection services company, today announced it has signed a deal with a major U.S. city to provide its COVID-19 Vaccine Threat Protection offering. This first-of-its-kind service offering uses cyber threat monitoring, similar to the approach GroupSense uses in its Election Threat Protection offering. This service provides the most comprehensive package available to protect the city and its millions of residents against COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, disinformation and supply disruptions from cyberattacks, including ransomware attacks.
“Vaccine Threat Protection” and “Election Threat Protection” seem like the two main government priorities for suppressing constitutionally protected free speech today.
The government decided what you can and cannot know about the experimental product it was forcing on you. The uniparty in charge also decided who you will elect as the next administration, and if you disagree – you will be targeted by a variety of “cybersecurity” contractors and initiatives.
If this sounds like a very serious violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution by the government using private contractors including Big Tech – that’s because it is.
